Assured Tenants Wanted Across London

assured-tenants-in-London Assured tenants have similar rights to regulated tenants but there are some differences. Most assured tenancies have been created over the last 25 years and the tenants are generally younger. An assured tenancy will have been created between 12 January 1989 and 27 February 1997. The law changed after this period to make it haeder for tenants to claim their special status.

The benefits that an assured tenant has is that the amount of rent that is paid is lower than a market rent but not as low as a rent that a regulated tenant would pay. The rent will be closer to a market rent but will still be lower that a private tenant would pay. The tenants still have security of tenure which means that they can't be forced to leave their property unless there is a serious breach of their lease.

selling-an-assured-tenancyThese types of tenancies are not quite as popular as regulated tenancies because the landlord knows that they could own the property for considerably longer before the tenant moves out or dies. They are still a good investment but the price will generally be lower than other protected tenancies
